My Focus:
Building Housing and Strong Communities
Housing affordability remains one of Toronto's greatest challenges. I support initiatives which expand housing options, strengthen neighbourhoods, improve local services, and help residents thrive. They need to be built within the context and design of individual neighbourhoods.

Keeping Communities Safe
Community safety is a top priority. My goal is to build and maintain strong partnerships with the Toronto Police Service, community agencies, schools, residents' associations, and local organizations. This how we keep crime down, and neighbourhoods strong! I am dedicated to continuing to work every single day to support safer neighbourhoods, create meaningful youth engagement, as well as build crime prevention initiatives to succeed in this goal.

Investing in Transportation and Infrastructure
Scarborough residents deserve reliable public transit, safer roads, and modern infrastructure. I continue to advocate for investments which improve mobility, reduce congestion, and connect residents to jobs, education, health care, and recreation.

Supporting Jobs and Economic Growth
Strong communities need vibrant local economies. I am committed to attracting investment, supporting small businesses, creating employment opportunities, and promoting skills training which helps business succeed. Residents do not want, and neither do I empty office buildings, and empty retail stores. I most recently assisted in creating our area’s first Business Improvement Area, the Cedarbrae-Markham-Lawrence BIA. My goal is to see more of them in our neighbourhoods!

A Strong Voice for Scarborough
As Scarborough’s Deputy Mayor, I have worked to ensure Scarborough's priorities are heard at decision-making tables,  not only at Toronto City Hall, but also in Queen’s Park, the home of our Provincial government, and in Ottawa, within the House of Commons, which is the home of our Federal government.  My focus is on securing tangible results for residents through investments in community facilities, infrastructure, economic development, and quality-of-life improvements. Both Provincial and Federal governments need to know when our cities prosper, our country prospers.
